Was thinking of trying this to make my own shape/ depth water dish for my box turtle enclosure

Never before for torts, but that could be so useful! You could make it deeper (more suited for him) than a normal dish might be. I have used air dry clay before, though, for crafts and things, and it's not like ceramic terra cotta. It can still be damaged with sharp and hard objects, like nails, so you's probably need to seal it with something safe and durable. I'm thinking a type of aquarium sealer

Found this on Crayola's product description, I wouldn't use it.
"Do not allow finished pieces to come into contact with food or liquids."
