I'm not sure if directly IN it would be a good idea because your tort will probably knock it over and move it around. In my opinion, it's just a way to make your normal humidifier a little more expensive. I would just buy a regular humidifier. :)

I like that it is passive and quiet. Not sure how it would work out in a tortoise enclosure. I found that by covering the top of my enclosure and moistening the substrate provided as much humidity as needed. You could try it out and let us all know how well it works for you.

My co-worker knows someone with one of these, she said she doesn't know if it's doing anything or not. I would just get a regular warm air humidifier.
