I’m looking into getting a hotter basking light and I wasn’t sure if ceramic would be better. Any thoughts?

Regarding the basking light, what’s your current setup? Temperatures? Sounds like you might need a new bulb or possibly an adjustment in the lamp height.

The difference between a CHE and basking bulb is that a CHE doesn’t give off light. It’s great for keeping up ambient temperatures, especially during the night, but it doesn’t provide the proper brightness and basking area.

CHEs are for making ambient heat. They aren't for basking since they make no light.
