I don't know anything about the unknown bark bedding, however, I use the T-Rex cypress mulch all the time.

well your link no longer exists according to lllreptile, but i buy cypress mulch in huge bags from my local lowe's or walmart or home depot, same stuff for cheaper than that tiny bag of stuff designed for torotises.

i don't even know what type of bark this is, it doesn't say anywhere on the website! i say just stick to cypress, we all use it and love it. well, not every person on the forum uses it, but a lot of us do!

I like the cypress myself, it helps with the humidity in my Redfoot enclosure, plus it's very absorbant when she pees and easy to clean!

Ah Icic. In another thread, Tom mentioned that he doesn't replace his substrates, only dumps them when he's got a new tortoise coming.

Are they supposed to last that long? Or is it because it only lasts with climates that are much dryer n cooler?
