Is this substrate ok to use?

Sorry, I know I keep asking tons of questions, but are the substrates they sell in bags at the pet store ok to use? I bought T-Rex Coconut Bark. Should I try to use something different in the future? I'm also looking for something that's pest free, since I keep my tortoise in my room. Thanks!

That seems to be the choice of the forum. But species specific you would have to wait for someone else. I dont have a russian so I dont know. Have you tried the russian page way down below.

Thats how I feel too. But Marlin loved his hay to dig and sleep in, but it just doesn't have the humidity he needs. So I had to change it. Thank god he is tolerant of me changing his home. Now he has plenty of dirt. I like to keep it simple. And of course if he's happy I'm happy
