This is probably the first CHE I ever used, Incandescent light bulbs were the mainstay heating device, didn't know anything about ultra violet rays,light was light But when these were found you had heat without all the light, the wire glows but doesn't produce much light.Light bulbs during the day, heating elements at night was how it was done.Today it is pretty much done the same,but with much better lighting and safer heaters.I think I saw my fist all glass aquarium in 1974. Any one else have memories from back in the day? Len

Holy cow, Len: Is that one from the dark ages? I thought only I was that old.

My first aquarium was 10 gallons had a complete steel frame that wrapped around every corner top and bottom about 2" , a slate bottom and weighed a ton empty..

How many remember the high tech brick phones...

My 1st tank was my parents way back in the 70,s but I was still young then :D and I remember when those tanks was still being sold..lol


I remember seeing them high tech brick phones (Zack from "Saved By The Bell" always talked on one..lol) back then but I was too poor to own one...lol.
