Baseboard heater?

Would a 2 foot baseboard heater work inside an enclosure if placed high enough my sulcata couldn't get too close? I would plan on putting it on a thermostat to control temperature.

I don't see why not as long as you've taken the proper safety precautions.

IMO an electric baseboard heater will work great. But instead of raising it out of reach I would be more inclined to keep it on the floor, where it's intended to be, and build a vented box around it to make it inaccessible to the tortoise.
