Surprised the cooters and sliders are basking today...well honestly I'm not. There are some turtle species that have been documented basking in snow such as north American wood turtles and painted turtles( Yes, they're on the list). It's windy today and rained all night into the morning, and it's overcast. It's neat to see how the sun effects their coloration as well. Right now all the colors have a drab color when their usually vibrant.. It's supposed to be 70 Sunday so everyone should be basking. I can't wait to redo the pond next spring, a crayfish ripped a hole in the liner so it has to be replaced. May as well build a few more ponds as well.
