Bathing my Russian

This is probably a silly question to some of you, but how often should I bathe my tortoise and when's the best time to bathe him?

Soak your tortoise in warm water up to where his top and bottom shell meet. Enough so he won't drown. About 20 minutes once or twice a week.

Iv started bathing mine more often just to prevent pyramiding as my enclosure at the mo isn't as humid as it should be

It all depends upon how old he is. I soak babies daily for 15 or 20 minutes first thing in the a.m. when I turn on the lights. Once they move outside and are able to get their own drinks, I don't soak them anymore. But I provide water in their habitat and I spritz water over their food.

You should also mist his enclosure daily, for humidity I bath mine every other day, for 15 minutes.

I bath mine everyother day or so. I look at the urates, if they are creamy I may skip a day. If they start looking more solid I increase.

My guys are adults now, so they get a good soak twice/week.

I am pretty lucky my one tortoise likes to soak himself about once a week so I don't always bother soaking him.
