Beak colour

I find the bottom beak of my red foot tortoise to be very white. Is it normal ? I think it changed colour just lately.

I'm not sure what I'm looking at.
I can't tell if that's some type of strange pigmentation, some kind of deposit. Or exposed bone

Do you have any past pictures of him? If you can find any of his mouth, post it.
