I changed my sulcatas enclosure about 3 days ago. Everything in it is the exact same. The only change I made was to his burrow. Still used the same material and everything he had before. I just made it a little deeper to help keep him cooler during the day(I made it myself since the day I got him so it’s not like he dug it himself and I went and messed with it)
It’s hot here in Arizona and while I bring him in if it’s too hot or too cold etc, he spends as much time outside as possible.
Okay so here’s the issue, he won’t use his burrow now. Not even at night. He also won’t eat the food I put in for him in the mornings. It’s a mix of greens, hibiscus if we have any bloomed and cactus once a week.
He’s well hydrated, and will still eat and graze in the yard for hours when I bring him out of his enclosure. Is the weird behavior because of the burrow change? Should I be concerned for something else?
