Here in the states, "Oak leaf" refers to a type of lettuce that is sometimes put into these lettuce mixes. Its to actual oak leaves from an oak tree and its not an ivy.

Never heard of oak leaf lettuce. Must only be in CA or West Coast. Oak leaf here is the tree leaf.

Everyone in the entire country has oak trees. There is a big city here named Thousand Oaks. I haven't counted, but there are at least that many...

No kidding everyone has oak trees! I said oak leaf lettuce I never heard of! You said oak leaf lettuce. I never heard of oak leaf lettuce.

If you read the ingredients in Spring Mix you will find oak leaf listed.
Yep, it sure is on the ingredients list. Oak leaf lettuce and red oak leaf lettuce. Learn something new every day. I have never seen it for sale on its own unless they just call it red leaf lettuce? Hmmm
