Big grub worm

Found a huge grub worm while I was digging up a tree. Can't really see it well but I got a good shot of my ebt hatchlings fighting with it..

I love it when I find free food! Here in Central California we have huge old iridescent green fig beetles. When they fly around it sounds like a humming bird. They lay their eggs in the horse manure pile I have outside the pasture and when I dig up decomposed manure for my gardening I always find some pretty darned big grubs for the turtles.

We have a lot of locust in Mississippi. All year we find locust larvae in the soil. My older ebts love them.. Ughh and I can't wait for summer June bugs to hurry up and come back. They love those crunchy buggers.
