Bigred dug a nest for 4 or 5 hours today and then walked away from it. Last year she laid her first clutch of 3 on xmas eve- so I guess shes right on schedule. My other female has already laid 2 clutches and was digging a nest yesterday and hit some roots then stopped. So I got 2 females that are ready to dump some eggs any minute. I hate going to work when they are digging like that. I live close to work so I can sneak home sometimes to check on them. They dont seem to want to lay in the warm box. It was warm and sunny today and should be warming up even more by xmas. Time will tell
