So my mom said to clean out the bin I use to soak my Leopard in with bleach. I clean it out with water, but will bleach harm him? Or will he be fine. The reason why is because he usually poops during his soaks. So she doesn't want bacteria to start to grow in it. What should I do? Thanks guys! :D

Rinse the living hell out of the bin after you use a small amount of bleach.

Cap full to each gallon of water is what I use, and then rinse rinse rinse rinse rinse rinse rinse rinse rinse rinse rinse rinse

Dont use bleach. Just leave it out in the sun for a day and the sun will kill the bacteria.

You can buy disinfectant for reptiles, it comes in a spray bottle, so not sure how much you'd need, but just thought I'd mention it. I'm in the UK, but figure it's a universal thing :)

I recommend using an anti-bacterial liquid dish soap such as "Dawn" (or any generic dish soap that says 'antibacterial' on it). Its super cheap and safe to use. I buy mine at the 99 cents store, but you can find it at any supermarket (you may even have some in your kitchen already).

Bleach is fine, as long as you rinse it well. A little goes a long way. Do not use more than a capful of bleach per gallon of water and be careful because the bleach vapor is dangerous to breath-in (for both you and the tort). When using bleach, use in a well-ventilated area or outdoors. Rinse thoroughly.

Bleach is fine. Just rinse it well and let it sit in the sun. The next time you go to use it give it the smell test. If you can smell any bleach at all, you need to rinse it better.

This really shouldn't be necessary though. I use the same tubs every day and just rinse them with the hose and let them air dry.
