Boulder right before a monsoon

Poor Boulder had his outside time cut very short yesterday due to a big monsoon storm But just before that he had a nice big yawn and turned down the yumsticks I got him

When I offered him that piece he had already stuffed himself on Mazuri and Grassland with bok choy, so he didn't even try it

Cute! I love the mouth pics! Yeah those monsoon storms are really wild here huh? It can poor lots of rain in no time, then be done as fast as it came. My larger tortoises seem to love the monsoon and stay out while the rain is pooring since it's so hot here. The younger ones and smaller species of torts run for cover.
