Your Box Turtle appears to be about 3-5 years old. It also looks more like an Ornate Box Turtle than a Three-toed Box Turtle to me. Both of them occur in Oklahoma, so if yours came from the wild, it could be either one. How certain are you that it is a Three-toed Box Turtle?

I don’t know, someone else on the tort forums told me a three toed, but I don’t know.

She has three hind toes. Do you think she is a three toed or an ordinate?

The Three-toed ones usually have less of a pattern on the carapace than yours does and lighter head skin coloration, which makes me think it is an Ornate. I suppose it could be an intergrade between the two types since both occur in OK.

Did you find it yourself, or if not, do you know where it was found?

I'm pretty sure it's a little three toe (Terrapene carolina triunguis), and I'd guess it's about two years old. I have quite a few with that shell pattern. And they lose the pattern as they get older. Cute little turtle!

I found her on a flat bed trailer when someone came to mow my yard. 😂 don’t know how she got there lol

Well, if it is indeed a Three-toed Box, it probably will fade out as the turtle gets older as Yvonne mentioned above.
