Box turtle pen mites

Ok guys I went out to my pen today and noticed mites on all my boxies!!!! Like the mites you get on snakes... How do I get rid of them in an out door pen?

Are you certain they are mites and not springtails or the like?

Diatomaceous earth kills mites! Get food grade and sprinkle all over pen! Does not hurt turtles!
