Breeder vs tortoise table app

Hi, when I bought my baby Hermann from the breeder he gave me a list of food which included cabbage, broccoli, tomatoes etc all of which the tortoise table app says are toxic- which is right? Thanks

Sounds like bad info from the breeder. Any other care info obtained from that breeder should also be suspect.

Cabbage, broccoli and tomatoes are not toxic, but they are also not great tortoise foods.

You should probably disregard any other advice that breeder gave you.

Lots of old incorrect information still being passed on by breeders, pet shops (who are happy to sell unsafe/unsuitable equipment for profit) and even some non reptile specialist vets, but if you follow the up to date caresheet linked your tort should thrive.
If you post pictures of your enclosure and lamps you'll get good advice to make sure it's a safe happy place for your tort.
