Yes ,these are as Bornean as can be !! But i do have other locale as well - mainland asian and Indonesian island !

All my adult are WC !!

Everytime i encounter one in a wet market or open air market i will get it ( or else most like end up in pots if unsold )

I am in Sabah !!

I would be doing the same if I were there. Great deed your doing. These guys are lovely. Wish i could add more to my collection just from the market. Adults are few here in the US.

Awesome pictures. I had no idea that different locales of emys could have such different colors.

Some area produce more olive green on shell while another area are more dull with brown only !!

If i have time i will make some pictures of the ugly ducklings of my emys herd ( burnt victim , bite wound , cracked shell .... )

I think i know why theres not many WC adults in oversea market
- depleted / reduced wild stock from over harvesting and de-orestation
- they stress easily during transit and those with heavy parasites load just refuse to eat after arrival .....
So many just dont make it and die on the way !!

Your emys are very nice color.

I've seen more wc emys sold here in my country nowadays and as you mention, they are heavily loaded with parasites. Maybe like halves don't make it after being purchased.

Theres no straight forward method or one drug treat all kind of things - first you need to access whats wrong before choosing medication for it ..... Even parasite you need to find out whats inside !

Impressa should follow another set of dosage and procedure in other to achieve higher rate of survival for WC !!

Beside , any medical thingy you should refer to your Vet first ( and I believe there are a few among us here in this forum ) As I am not one , I am trained in the field of Finance !!
