Hello everyone,
Over the past several months, I’ve been developing an affordable outdoor solution for our shelled friends. I'm still getting things up and running but excited to introduce to you the Buddy Bungalow—the first outdoor shed designed primarily for tortoises.
Key Features of the Buddy Bungalow:
  • Top-Opening Roof: Provides easy access and includes an accessory bar for UVB/UVA bulbs or other necessities.
  • Insulation: One inch insulation to maintain heat and cool temperatures depending on the season.
  • Double Door System: Features a 15x15 inch main door and a smaller 10x10 inch door. Tortoises enjoy squeezing into tight spaces, so the smaller "baby door" is a perfect addition.
  • Adjustable Divider: Allows you to partition the Bungalow into two separate sections.
  • Weather-Proof Liner: Facilitates easy cleanup.
  • Drop-Down Nail Filing Ramp: Helps keep the nails of tortoises or bunnies neatly trimmed.
We are gearing up for launch and will start accepting pre-orders next week. The first shipments are scheduled for mid-October.
Stay tuned for more updates and get ready to provide your pet with a cozy new home!

Is this wood or plastic?

It's harder to build a tortoise shed for use in the southeast US. I need THICK insulation and more rot-proof construction compared to the west coast folks.

Same here in the Midwest. I use 4" R13 top, bottom, and sides along with double-insulated doors. Held up really well last winter when the temps dipped down in the negative teens for nearly a week.
