Here's what my friend Google says about Curly Dock:

Toxicity. Curly dock contains soluble oxalates that can cause a significant decline in the accessibility of calcium and magnesium to an animal that ingests it. This disrupts the function of cell membranes and in severe poisonings leads to muscle tremors, weakness, kidney failure, and death.

Looks like Burdock and “docks” are very different plants. As mentioned earlier in the thread, there are no indications of animal toxicity except for human use as a diuretic. It’s very hard to control though. I will take out the ones I see. Hopefully we can find some competing beneficial plants.
