Burying and humidity.

My Horsefeild tortoise is 10 weeks old and I've had him (Percy) for just over a week, recently I've noticed that he has been burying himself a lot! as in fully covering himself in substrate, is this normal??

Also, I don't know much about humidity? What should it be and how to I achieve it??

Oh yes, they love to dig. Totaly normal. A humid hide is your best bet for him and a lot of people get proper levels by spraying ground sever times a day. I have a reptifogger and it works pretty good for my set up. These links have the best info for you.

It is one of four reasons...
1) Seeking warmth
2) Seeking cooler temp
3) Seeking humidity
4) It's fun to dig!

It could also be trying to find a dark hiding spot.
