Really strange, yes :)

Just a kind word of warning - sharing an enclosure is not a good thing. It's not about fighting now - there is a risk of transmitting diseases between two tortoises like parasites or microbes. I understand if you can't provide a separate space for them now but be fully aware of the risks.

Yeah i know of the risks but i have to let the little guy explore and get uvb somewhere aswell which for the time being is the russians enclosure which is covered with netting so no risk of predation

Sounds good.
Check what ambient humidity is in his enclosure - if it's 80-85% near substrate - perfect. Also, he is a bit small for hay (for larger sulcatas it's fine), at this age they still need fresh tender grass. Check if you can find orchard or bermuda grass - these are better options than timothy. Probably, you can grow it from seeds - it should sprout pretty quick.

I got fungus (not mushrooms) in soil when it was constantly wet and without good lights.

You also need to get your garden ready for a sulcata - in a couple of years it should be all day outside grazing on the grass. And pecticides and stuff reside in the soil and plants for several years.

I suggest you to start a new thread on that topic. Describe what soil you have in your yard, what chemicals you use and ask for advice. I can't help much with this, sorry.

I think that has so much unnecessary ingredients and no calcium, which is the most important for tortoises. @Tom Could you find something with 100% calcium carbonate? Something like this

Bird vitamins are high in vitamins A and D3, which can be overdosed for tortoises (they get vitamin A from plant foods and "just right" amount of D3 from sunlight or good UVB lamps). Pharmacies should have very cheap calcium carbonate tablets. As for other supplements - maybe you can order a can of tortoise multi-vitamins from abroad, it should last for several years.
