hi ok so i want to put some cacti in my enclosure. i was wondering if that would be safe? and if so what kind?

I have several varites of opuntia cactus in with my smaller tortoises because they wont bother them, my bigger tortoises would eat them all so he has none is his enclosure. Just find ones you like, because the danger is more to us getting stuck by a spine and not really an issue with tortoises... Of course the less spine's the better :)

so if i were to put one of those cactuses that has the fur looking stuff on it that is white and looks like hair that would be ok? i dont think he would eat any of them. because i put a hens and chicks in there (just one to test) so he doesnt eat everything he sees. haha

I think your talking about the "old man cactus" Cephalocereus senilis and I think you are okay. Just know that those white hair's are hiding spines..:D

oh yeah! old man cactus :) alright cool thanks so much! what about the round short little pokey ones? obviously i wouldnt put them where lays alot just like in a corner and such for decor. would that be ok? i dont think he would go near it. hes pretty smart :D

Those little one I dont know about, since I have sulcatas that will get big they would be become a issue if stepped on, can't say how they would work for a Russian. Hopefully someone will be able to answer that one...
