I have baby leopard tort about 60g, and I bought some veges at a tort specialty web store.

But I don't know what it is, and it has some thorns.

So I wonder if I can feed this.I thought my tort is too young to it.

Please give a good answer.

Thanks everyone, Have a good day

If it were me I would cut the thorns off and then feed. That's what we do to cactus pads too. We burn, scrape or cut off the thorns.

Welcome!

It looks like a chicory to me, as do at least two of the other plants; chicories are similar to dandelions so safe.

I don’t usually worry about thorns but better to be safe than sorry with a little one.

I just called the seller. He said it was a kind of thistle.

I was going to say it looks like thistle before I read your post. I feed several types of thistle to my torts. I've never cut the spines off of any of it.

I have thistle pop up in my yard all summer. Some are relatively small, with spines that are not too bad but cover the leaves almost like sparse fur. Another is also petite but more waxy-leafed with long fairly thin, long spines. Others are much taller, woodier, and have steel daggers for spines!!!

Can torts eat ANY thistle and do you remove the spines for smaller torts, like my Russie?

Many people said could eat thistle. I asked my seller, and he answered that his baby torts are eat well.
I will feed tomorrow and remove the thorn if she can't eat well.
Today, I fed other veges in the picture. I'm glad she ate them well :)

Thistles are in the same plant family; it’s also a chicory. This one will have a yellow flower that looks not unlike a dandelion but there will be several flowers on a stalk, rather than the single flower on a narrow stem we find on dandelions.
