keep a leopard gecko in the same terrarium with my leopard tortoise? if i start with the gecko as a baby?

Hello and welcome to the forum.

I wouldn't mix those species. Too many risks of infection and or injury. They also have different housing requirements.

thank you i am enjoying the forum so far

alright any suggestions and a little buddy i could give my leopard tort? hes only 6-8 months old now and shared a tank with but my friend bought the other one and now i think he will get lonely

Well you can always add more leopard tortoises. I prefer at least trios to pairs.

They don't get "lonely". In the wild they generally just walk around and do their own thing. They don't congregate in groups and hang out. He'll be just fine by himself and might actually prefer it.

Hi welcome to the forum,

In reptiles there is the god of all god rules and that is Never MIX species, Whilst a simple infection or parasite is inocent to one species and do no harm it could potencially be fatal to another..
