Ceramic heater for night

100 watts or 150 watts for a ceramic heater? The enclosure will be indoor. In the winters here in the northeast it can get into the 50's in my apartment without a space heater. Also are these safe to use with cypress substrate below? It doesn't burn?

No night time heat should be necessary for Herman's tortoise unless you indoor temperatures get well below 55 degrees. Even then it should only be there to provide enough heat to raise the temperatures to the very low 60's at night.
