1. Plug the thermostat into the wall.
2. Set the dial where you want your temp.
3. Mount your CHE fixture where you want it.
4. Plug your CHE fixture into the receptacle on the thermostat unit.
5. Verify temps several times over the next few days and adjust the dial on the thermostat if needed.

I just hooked one up and will hook my other up today.
It seems intimidating, but is very easy. On the advice of a few here, I purchased a hydrofarm thermostat found thru Amazon.

You plug the thermostat in, then plug your CHE into the thermostat. Push the set button 3 sec til the temp reading blinks. Set your desired temp, hit set button again and voila, it holds within 2 or 3 degrees. I set mine up about a week before, tweaking with all sorts of thermometers, before putting torts in. The hardest thing was adjusting the CHE placement for perfect temp gradient.

I really like those hydrofarm thermos, i was looking at something like breeders use and it was all kinds of wiring to it, this way is so much easier i was allways afraid of che's because ive heard horror stories about how hot they can get to hot if not regulated so i always stayed clear of them
