Changes in Kaiju's Shell

Hello!

I found a change in Kaiju's shell, it looks like either splitting or growth of the shell. Overtime, it has started to spread, and I am worried it may be something serious.

Based on these pictures, can anyone help me find out what the problem may be?

I think another forum member just rescued a tort with the same issue. The general consensus was MBD. Check @Tortugatron's posts.

I don't know what it is but I think it may have something to do that he may be becoming fat how much do you feed him?

Your tort will not overeat and get fat. Let's get that straight from the start.

The pale shell looks like new growth which is normal. However, the condition of the shell generally suggests your tort is being kept too dry.

Please could you post pics of its enclosure and lighting so we can see if there's anything we can do to help.

Also what do you feed your tort and do you soak it?

Overfeeding is not an issue here, but humidity possibly is.
