My baby sulcatas CHE went out tonight, will he be ok till tomorrow about 10 when they open? Temps are 78 right now, he’s in my bathroom.
Ok! I use the 100 watt zoo med brandHe should be fine at 78. If you think it could get colder or you are worried, you could keep the basking light on for one night.
Be sure you are using a ceramic socket for the che and buy a name brand one. I never had one stop working and I have some from 2011 that I still use in the winter.
Yes, but a HD heating lamp bulb puts off LIGHT, Tort's need darkness, just like US to sleep, which is why CHE are such a wonderful item. Yes, I would NOT worry for a night or two w/o a CHE. You wouild NOT want to go for a wek or two, But I believe short term is should not be much of a prob.$8 home depot heating lamp bulb would do the same .
no more $30+ rip off "reptile bulb"
A bulb should not replace a che. Bulb=light and che= no light.$8 home depot heating lamp bulb would do the same .
