Help, just my cherryhead tortoise not being able to move his/her leg. With visible wound not known what caused it. When I try to.move the leg slowly it seems inflamed and 'stuck' in that position. Anyone here know if this is caused by an insect?

That leg is definitely swollen.

I would soak him for at least 45 minutes, longer is better. Keep the water warm - 95F is good to aim for - the entire time. That should open the scab. Wipe it off if he'll allow it, and then put a dab of Neosporin or similar antibacterial cream or ointment on it.

Let's see what @zovick or @Yvonne G say - they are much more knowledgeable than I am about medicines and injuries.

I think it's possible that a male tortoise while mating can bruise his "knees" on rough ground.
I was just wondering if it was possible in your case here.
Not sure if he was trying to mate. As I did not see any action. He is with other females and males free roaming in our garden.

It does not look like an injury which could have occurred from scraping the leg on the ground. It looks more invasive like a bite injury to me. If the Neosporin doesn't clear up the inability to move the leg in a couple of days, I would take the tortoise to a good exotics vet for an evaluation of the situation.
