Was wondering when I serve them chicken is it to be cooked or raw?

If you use uncooked chicken, you run the risk of salmonella, so most folks cook it first.

But I feed uncooked chicken to my pond turtles. I always use very fresh chicken and I wash it thoroughly before cutting it up to feed.

I just tried feeding my redfoots some boiled chicken and they weren't impressed at all. waste of chicken.
