I'm getting lemon balm, although that doesn't seem exact. Rub a leaf, it should smell lemony. Maybe minty.

There are other balms but I've only grown lemon. They are all in the mint family and safe, but unlikely to be eaten because of the strong scent.

Thanks! I tried rubbing and it does not give off a lemony or minty smell, it just smells like a typical weed/earthy, if that makes sense.

It looks "safe" to me but I couldn't tell you why other than the pattern of leaf growth makes me think it's still somewhere in the mint family. Pretty much all herbs—oregano, thyme, sage, you name it—are in the mint family. And pretty much a tortoise won't eat any of them.

I wouldn't recommend anyone feed it based on my guess though.
