Chipped Plastron

Hi, this morning I noticed a chip on my tort’s plastron (I’m not sure if there’s some blood?), and was wondering if I should clean it in a specific way or put any Neosporin or bandage on it to help it heal?

Hi, you need to check what caused the chip. The edge looks uneven like a broken nail. I suggest with run an emery board carefully along the sharp edges and rub your finger over and tidy up any rough edges. Ensure you provide a good diet, heat, light etc and calcium for strong claws, beak, shell and bones. Good luck.

It looks like a pretty old injury to me. I don't think you need to do anything to it.

I have a couple setups, one for school and one for my parents’ house. The one at my parents’ is much bigger, but I need to figure out something better than what I have now at school. I will post pictures soon.
