plastron chip

i just noticed a chip on my tort's plastron. it seems like an outer layer of the plastron, the exposed area is still shell. i don't know how long has it been. he's still eating/living normally. should i be concerned? his shell is not soft, but hard.

Can you post a photo?
That way someone with a lot of experience can determine if it is a superficial thing or something that requires action.

Beautiful tortoise.
He's taken a wack somewhere sure enough.
But is looks superficial to me, will be fine in time in my opinion but of course will never quite match with the original patterning.
