If it bakes really hard and is non toxic it should be fine. I don't think I would get it wet though.

I think once you bake that stuff it's the same a say a coffee mug. But I could be wrong.

Maybe make something small and drop it in a glass of water for a week and see if anything comes off it ...?

I would be intersted in what you come up with. Pics.

Hi Sebastianthegirl (did you ever tell us what we could call you?):

You've been posting your questions in the General tortoise section, and I've been moving your questions to the "water turtle" section, but trouble is, I'm not always online, so some of the first responses you receive are from people who think you are asking about a tortoise, not a turtle.

If you would post them yourself in the water turtle section, you would receive responses more in tuned to what you really want to know.

I was going to kiln it and put a coffee mug gloss on it that is non-toxic, would that be okay?

Idk about oven fired clay, but if your using a kiln that gets to 2000 degrees and use throwing clay it will not disintegrate in water without glaze they use them in reef tanks for frag rocks all the time.

Polymer clay is basically plastic. No real clay in it. I wouldn't try fireing it in high temps. I know it's not considered food safe so if you want to put it in the water I would look into putting some kind of sealer on it. Hopefully someone with more knowledge about it can give you some more info on it.
