Same question, why? I guess you could dump it into a 5 gallon bucket, soak, strain the water out. Add the substrate, but why?

Those are totally unsuitable for housing sulcatas, or any other species. You've gotten the wrong care info. This is not your fault. It happens to almost everyone.
