I just bought some coconut coir brand is Eco Earth. When I opened the bag and started to soak some, it smells like mesquite bbq. I wonder if this came from an area that had a fire. Has anyone had this? I don’t dare use it. Any advice would be great.
I've never noticed an odor like that with coco coir only earthy maybe. I'd take it back and get a refund. Buy it from another store because that store probably got a whole shipment of it.
