i was just wondering if anyone else is experiencing their coconut coir staining their enclosure stuff/tortoises? like, i used to keep my cuttle bone straight on the substrate but i've been noticing the coir stains it this nasty brown color so i broke it up and put it in a shallow dish, and also the babie's legs and especially their feet have been getting darker since i've had them, and after closer inspection i've noticed the cracks in their skin have stayed a nice milky/ivory white color... like their feet and legs are getting stained! anyone else?

Every moist substrate I've ever used does this. Orchid bark is pretty bad. My coco coir and coco chips really don't do this much at all. My orchid bark/soil mix stuff from Lowes isn't too bad either, but everything stains my cuttle bones.
