Well...it's snowing like hell, and my bald tires are gonna try to make it into town for a Drs appt. I love the excesses of weather...but I'm ready for spring, I want myView attachment 354564 animals outside...View attachment 354565

Books, the keys to the world! Thank you Lyn, for valuing your books. When the big Sunspot hits or bad guy does his thing and ALL of the digital data is lost, we will still have books! I wish I had the space for a library b/c everyone is giving away books. I even got an original Voyage of the Kite- The Peary expedition...signed by the man himself, though he wasn't the author. Very cool!

On another note, Jeff's an idiot....yeah, a continuing saga....here's the latest one. I bought this home in '06. It has 4 interior to exterior glass sliding doors, all but 1 are Anderson 400's, a decent door and I've had no issues with any of them....but my one off brand door in my room going to my deck will give you 18" biceps....I've greased the wheels and rail with a little but not much effect. Remember guys, I'm a plumber and I suck at all thing wood-related(got to know your weaknesses) so the door is getting so sticky that watching Kerry attempt to close it while standing on a floating wool rug on a hardwood floor was entertaining....so much so that I sat back and watched....but I didn't laugh till she "beat it" cause I'm cool like that.

Anyway....I go to regrease it and look what I found... 2 little caps, each approx 8" from either end. Do you know what's under those caps? WHEEL ADJUSTERS!

Oh God! How many years I've wrestled with that door? 16-17 yrs? LOL I feel a little humbled....ok, more than a little.

Now...it glides with 1 finger but Kerry will launch it off the tracks if I don't warn her ahead of time, she'll "hoss" it!

Aaagh, yes, the wheel adjustors that one only discovers when you are on your hands n knees & scratching your head with the issue. Good job on fixing it. Yes, you better put a warning up!

Most of those rollers are replaceable if needed. Not a tough job, just need another person to help getting the door on some saw horses.

I had mentioned before about my son Adam and his wife. Getting into a car accident Xmas Eve.
He had injured his foot, the injury is called Lisfranc fracture.
Finally had the operation the other day. Look how many screws they used.

I remember that Ray....and am amazed by the lattice-work they built in there! Soon, it will be more expensive to keep your original foot, they will only cover to whack it off and stick a replacement on!

How's he doing? Footwork is painful....

I got to listen to the Motown sounds all the way in this morning...that was some good music...Temptations, Isley brothers, Supremes and with Barry to wrap it up? The greatest crooner of all time? Nice way to start the day.

I saw the new Chiro guy Mon evening. I would be lying to say he didn't hurt me, bad. BUT, he just might be "my guy" I think. He not only does the 5 techniques of the Palmer methodology but he also incorporates the musculoskeletal and fascia systems as well. He talked bout getting rid of reoccurring migraines for folks like he was pulling weeds. He went on about how his clients might come on once every 5-6 weeks for migraine treatment. I told him that I don't think I've had 2 weeks in a row, of not having a migraine, for 35 years, then he picked up his jaw. LOL

My neck and base of my skull are very tender, because that's where he found issues....but on the deck last night, when I looked up to see if the "suicide branch" was still there, I noticed I could feel my back against my neck....it's been years since I've felt that! We always remain optimistic....so next Mon, we'll go back for round two.

The prob has been that I go to a Medical Dr, he wants to give me pain killers and muscle relaxers which don't work, so I go to a chiropractor and he cracks me, then you go to massage girl and she rubs your muscles....no one is connected, nor is the treatment and at the end, I'm still a miserable bas....in pain, not a desired outcome!
So I've been searching for someone who believes in the body, who understands it and isn't one of those "Aroma therapy/holistic" guys that just creep most of us out!

enjoy the day guys.....already finished a Change for the Cap Hilton (were Reagan got shot) and another for my new friends at Target.

Jeez jeff, you're wordy today......sry guys

My son Adam is doing ok. 10 to 12 weeks of not walking on it will be a problem. Just talked to Rose, she is headed for the airport. Will be home thursday early afternoon.
Have you tried acupuncture? I was gonna give it a try and then covid shut everything down.

I hope Adam doesn't get too much lingering "stuff", you know what I mean.

The guy brought up acupuncture and dry needling...while actually sounds like it might work. I don't hold pre-judgements so I'm game for anything he wants to do. The dry needling for me would be used to drain the ligiment/tendon attachment points @ the rear of my head to neck that he said swell, and are the root cause of my headaches. He pressed them out Monday, which lit up my world for an hour so maybe DN would be "an easier softer way", which in this case would be okay with me!

Super happy your sweetheart is coming home.....by the way you talk about her, you're a "romantic" too so I know it hurts when that part of you is missing. cool

Oh yeah, massage girls: You can find them on Craigslist, the issue there is they aren't really there to massage are they? Don't need that drama so I let Kerry find them for me...brilliant, right? True story...."Baby, please find me a hottie to rub my back"

Kerry is a do'er so she gets me an appointment with Amber over near where she lives....can't be bad, sounds cute right? Amber is a very nice person, looks me dead in the eye and used to play field hockey in college...20 years ago, since then she took up body building and apparently had a string of bad relationships with men....she ripped me a new one<LOL>! Just teasing, but these girls don't mess around, they do deep muscle massage that usually make my sick the next day. Overall, it had no impact for my migraines though so I bagged that idea after a few trips.

Just closed a deal with a company from NY doing Dark work down here. "Dark work"=secret stuff, can't tell ya cause then I'd have to....yeah, you all know the drill. Someone else was selected last summer and began the "small part". Then the project was delayed and they rubbed the Contractor or client the wrong way & we just took it from them, their part and the big part. Only a $mil pjt but now WE are working for the dark-client....and they have tons of money, right? LOL We could be there till I retire in a couple years......

Funny thing I CAN tell you about Dark-spaces w/o spending time in Rikers....you see them every day as they are often housed in or built within the walls of current Purveyors offices since they are in perpetuity in their locations. Makes perfect sense but I never woulda guessed!

I hope you get some relief from the headaches soon🤗.🙏 One of my brothers used to get them really bad. He would become paralyzed. What his MD did was tell him to take magnesium and changed some stuff in his diet. I can't remember the pain killer he got in the meantime until the regimen started working. It was specifically for migraines though. He still gets them but he doesn't have the pain and doesn't need the pain killer. Is it possible you have an allergy?

Wow. Is he the son you're wanting to put a spare chair in their house? That would have been a handy thing.

We have crossed fingers Ms Cathie, we always do!
They searched for allergies and other causes but it seems like that if you go to an Eye Dr, you will walk out with glasses....same way at the Allergists....87 different "possible causes"....LOL, I had no heart to get into that chase-game.

While I write about them here, usually the only person that ever knows I had/have one is Kerry. I do my best to ignore them.

It's FRIDAY for me! I'll go over to Kerry's after work today then have surgery over there in the morning then a bid in the afternoon... a weekend at the nook!

I just know that you all want to see the newest Wind Spinner in action. It’s only a few seconds long to give you the feeling of wind in motion.
Enjoy.

Key - Zamfir 😩

It's quite therapeutic watching it. Everyone should have one in their garden to watch when they feel stressed.

Good morning/afternoon all,
It's a beautiful day here with temps average for the time of year, but we've been warned that the temps fall again tomorrow and we're back to frosts and snow in some areas next week. So making the most of today.
Lola is making the most of it as well. He's only just surfaced and has gone to sit in a sunny spot by the door.
I've been removing some of my dead hebe, but left the lower branches for anything creepy crawlies sheltering underneath - they'll need it next week.
I'm meeting a friend for a coffee this afternoon so I'd better get organised.
Have a good Thursday and see you later!
