It has been unusually warm here with rain today and yesterday. Those 22 cm or 8,6 inches of snow have almost melted. I might be able to forage some weeds tomorrow, unless they are too soggy. We are supposed to have more snow soon though, maybe even on Thursday.
Also, there was a little flooding due to the rapid melting, but nothing too serious.

Natrah I've just seen that it looks like your area will be in the path of Storm Conall and you have warnings for tonight and tomorrow. So I hope you aren't too badly affected. Stay dry and safe!
Thankyou Lyn. It's been a beautiful day here but colder. Luckily I'm quite high up but those people at the bottom of the cliff and on Canvey Island need to be careful. Also I hope Angie's okay.

Natrah

I wonder how @Cathie G procedure went?????
It was hilarious. I gossiped to my nurse that my spine specialist was ornery but don't tell hiim I said so. Mums the word right. 😜His smile had already told me everything about him. So then I end up in the room.!!! And I'm draped over the thing waiting for the needles and the dang nurses tell my doctor he's being ornery today hahahaha. It was ridiculous. How are you supposed to remain still when you're laughing your head off???? After all the worry though it was NOTHING compared to the pain from inflammation. I'm going to try and behave myself and not be a grandma on steroids 😭 😁

I believe if you don't feel the pressure, the Doctor is not hitting the correct spot. I've had a couple that didn't help, I felt no pressure during the injection.
I don't know if I believe that. It depends on where they need to put the shot whether or not you'll feel pressure, pain, etc...Maybe they just put the shot in the wrong spot on you. All the shot does is help inflammation around that area to help you not be in pain anyway.

We are supposed to have snow on Thursday too. That's Thanksgiving Day for us. We'll be eating turkey and thankful 🦃 we don't have to go anywhere. It's a holiday! Yeah!!!. I'm baking the turkey tomorrow so we can do leftovers and just watch the snow ❄️ 🌨️ together on Thanksgiving 😊

Come on Ray, sleep is a fluid thing for me. Not a good thing understand, just that it's never at the same time or for the same time period. This is life without a circadian rhythm. It could be a lot worse, most people have real mental issues but thankfully, I was batschit crazy way before all this happened so I have been immune.
give me a second, I'll find that silver lining, it's always there!

Glad all you "animal lovers" got your shots! LOL I know, it's sad...but I also laugh every time I see 4T Ed's home country because in my head I hear the Asian restaurant owner on South Park saying it.....I might have a warped sense of humor so there's that too.

I don't envy any of you getting shots in your back. I don't know of a single person I have met throughout my lifetime that had shots or surgery in/on their backs, 1 time only. Every single person got on the "back procedure treadmill". I really hope that you guys find relief.

Kerry began putting up Christmas decorations.....10 big bins off the top shelf in the garage came down(seems like I just put them up there)!

I asked her what pain was driving her to begin putting up lights outside even before Thanksgiving? She reminded me that it was going to be in the 30's here next week. Okay, sounds good to me!

I got my computer back yesterday............ouch....930 dollars of ouch but at least it's fast! Apparently my radiator cooler had a small leak @ the CPU and dripped on the old graphics card. It did not like the bath. My guy installed a new radiator in my computer along with a new card.

I ordered a 25 ft flag pole to mount my TV antenna on and it's going to come Friday. It's exciting.

I laugh how the small things in life carry so much more weight today....that I value them more. When Kerry's 94 year old dad was here, we talked about what we value in life now, the things we REALLY appreciate now. For him is was the ability to sit in the sun and just enjoy, stress free. For me, it's a warmed room & warmed towel when I open the shower curtain to come out. I HATE a cold room after a shower. See? Little things.

I haven't seen that scene, I am not a south park person lol. I do really hope you have other things that come to mind about Finland if you really try 😅

I have finally decided to accept a life with no circadian rythem. Instead of thinking of how I got short changed. I am just gonna go with the flow of no sleep schedule.
My next procedure on my back. Will be the spinal cord stimulator. It's a small under the skin unit. That sends small levels of electricity. Directly into the spinal cord. That is not as invasive as replacing vertebraes or using screws and plates.
I know I have mentioned this before. In the Philippines they start christmas decorating. When the months end in ber. So they start in Sept. Rose hasn't started that early here. She was up in the attic two nights ago. Bringing down the decorations. Another difference about Xmas in the philippines. They don't believe in Santa Claus.
A water cooled computer with a radiator? Wow I am behind!

My daughter had a 'test' unit installed a couple weeks go to see if she would be a good candidate for the under-the-skin electrical unit. They've decided it would be ok for her and she gets the permanent unit on Dec.4th.

I hope it works out for her. Keep me posted if you don't mind.

Pretty nice day here in Maryland though we are expecting nasty cold rain tomorrow. Soooooooo, no cooking out on the grill for Thanksgiving..

We worked on preparing food for our Thanksgiving Day. Turkey is thawed and fully greased up & prepped for roasting. Creamed corn casserole done. Fresh cranberry sauce all prepared & ready to eat. We roasted sweet potatoes and used them for our traditional dessert.

Worked on a little Christmas wood ornament today - I’ll try & finish up & hang it up.

Looking forward to the Macy's Day Dog Show tomorrow.

I can't wait to see your ornament. Our Thanksgiving dinner will be leftovers. I couldn't resist and cooked it all up today. They couldn't resist and chowed down. I'll be thankful for not much cooking.😊 it's supposed to rain and snow mixed tomorrow. So I'll probably have to bake something anyway. Then turn cold and freezing. We'll see.

Good morning/afternoon all.
We've had quite a pleasant day here after more rain, hail and thunder yesterday - not as bad as Storm Bert though. The clean up in the town is well under way, but it's going to take a while for the shops and local services to reopen.

I've spent the day in the garden. Many of my pots were waterlogged, so I've been unclogging the drain holes and raising them up or emptying some of them for replanting. My crocosmia patch has been cleared of dead leaves and my resident robin has been just feet away from me the whole time keeping his beady eye out for worms. He's a very sociable chap and they are very clever little birds to know that when people are gardening, there's usually something for them.
Lola wandered out to see what was going on but it was too cold for him so he didn't stay long.
I hope you're all having a good Tuesday. TTFN
I know I don't have the same kind of robins as you but my robins are socialble too. On my outside lunch break I used to have one that always came to visit with me. I would throw him out a few French fries. I thought he had a deformed beak at first because he had a funny looking beak. So then I got curious because he would pick up a few fries even with the crazy looking beak. So I got down and looked up close. That's when I found out our robins like meat and taters. 😁The deformity was a worm 🐛
