Today I will be.......................................................hmmmmmm.
You get up too early 💤 💤 💤 at least that's what my smart phone said. My mobile landline decided to burp though and I wound up having to spend 2 hours trying to get ahold of Verizon and some help. Every customer support number I called was a robot so they promptly hung up on me. They couldn't understand a word of English. Probably a good thing. I finally called the financial department and talked with a human 😭 that finally got me to another human that helped me with my issue. What a day..........................hmmmmmmmmm. but all's well I might have learned something even if I didn't want to. I learned how to reset my little mobile landline phone device thingy if the Internet decides to bleep. Whatever.😊

The little fruit looks too much like squash.

My dog eats stuffed animals 🤮 so.... so I don't have a big vet bill for my "little dog", I buy anything similar to steal.🤔
Spell check got me. I MEANT STEEL. I haven't met a single big dog brave enough to go up against a toy dog yet.

I'm sorry I said Polynesian I meant to ask if that was traditional colors for the Philippines. It's interesting to me what different cultures do for the holidays. Many of us send cards of a white Christmas while South Africa sends cards of a sunny beach with Santa wearing flip flops.🙃
Here is the indoor decorations this year!IMG_20241221_230052.jpg

I have no "christmas" in me yet this year....don't know why.

My VR program (punch fit) is beating the crud out of me. My arms got better so I went back to it yesterday before spending the day in my work shed playing with a rusty motorcycle seat. By the time I came inside around 3-4pm my back had nearly seized from spasms. The VR game had been "punch avoidance" and apparently, I didn't duck fast enough. 40 minutes in a scalding hot shower helped a lot but I still miss my big whirlpool tub.

Funny thing.......yesterday it was pretty chilly out. 32@F & windy all day. I get my sweatshirt on and get ready to go to my shed....there are 3 deer hanging around just outside my shed. It's cold out so I let them browse for a few minutes on the Holly berries and other treats. After a few minutes, I get antsy and decide to walk out anyway...sorry to scare you deer. Well, I walked out to my shed never looking directly at the deer but only sneaking sideways glances and they stayed put. I literally walked 15 feet from 3 deer and they didn't move other than to turn to watch me. I love that stuff...it's like magical! After I got in the shed I took their pic forgetting to turn off my flash....and THAT'S when they left! LOL

You are supposed to do exactly what you'd do if you ever got the chance!

If you've run through your list at such a young age, think bigger!

any enjoy it, there's no reset buttons in real life!
Actually, one of my "bigger" dreams is owning land some day. I think that is a pretty universal dream. And that is tied together with owning a house instead of renting.

But these aren't really something I can achieve in one holiday 😅 Currently looking for and applying for jobs next summer, so I might have more money to save and invest.

My aunts dog once took one of those empty dog food cans made of aluminium out of the recycling and absolutely obliterated it before my aunt managed to get it back. (She didn't want to make it into a chasing game)

Luckily I am not at a ball and seem to be normal.

Normal for me, that is,

Yes, I did hear, very brave of the BBC to do that over the festive period.
Plus the Doctor Who Proms and the Christmas special.
Marvelous.

Thank you so much for reading and reacting to The Tort Who Walked By Herself.
I hope you enjoyed reading it as much as we enjoyed doing it.

We don't do that in Finland. I was first introduced to this tradition by a Donald Duck cartoon short film:
Wanted to add that model trains usually aren't electric here and most often wooden. The most traditional and maybe also most common brand here is the Swedish Brio. Me and my siblings got a big box of them from our older cousin and got some extra parts later among the years. Google Brio wooden model trains to find out what model train nostalgia means for Finnish children!
