Good morning all. It's a very cold grey day here with rain on the way later.

I'm going to pop to the garage I use to check it's ok to have my poor car towed there. I'm now wondering if it could be suspension trouble rather than axel but it can't be driven whichever it is and is going to cost me a lot more than I wanted to spend on it, but I need it to get around the car dealers. Catch 22!

I hope you all have a good Monday.

The worst part of the Halftime show was that it was even worse than the game quality.

I get that some music is not going to be for everyone. I grew up in a very musically inclined family but simulated gunfire doesn't seem to resonate with me. That's
"Not like us". LOL

We have a 17year-old Skoda, which we got second-hand when it was still pretty new, and it has been driven the equivalent of nearly eight times round the world,(mostly carrying Zola in it,) with only minor things ever going wrong. I hope our luck will hold for a few years more at least!

My car is now in the garage. It was the suspension spring that had snapped. The RAC man cut out the old and used a block so that I could drive it and he followed me to make sure I was ok. Didn't take too long at all.
Now I just have to sit back and wait for the bill. The joys of motoring,😊

I have been looking at the Skoda Fabia, they seem good little cars with the VW/ BMW involvement.

Yes, that's what ours is too, and we are very glad that's what we chose. We do get it serviced regularly, and are lucky to have a friend at a local garage who is good at diagnosing problems quickly. I think the newer ones have more bells and whistles than ours, but we get along fine with ours.

I don't like all the bells and whistles. Too much potential for failures. I much prefer the simpler specs.

Car fixed! Garage called me at about 5 pm so it's back home now and thankfully only cost about £85 for part, labour and tax - I was expecting to pay at least £200. So that was a relief. Hopefully there won't be any more nasty surprises for a while.,🤞🙏

Good morning everyone!

After having recollected the time when Jacky and I were locked out because I left the keys in the bathroom with Daisy. I dreamt that I was carrying Jacky through the streets like I did nearly three years ago🤣!

Watching the Halftime show.......I must just be a boomer.......it is simply lost on me. LMAO
I think probably Beyonce did a way better half time. I watched that part. Since the only reason I watch the Superbowl is the commercials I didn't bother to watch this year. So I GUESS I don't have an opinion 😉 except I do like rap. It has to have a melody and a dance beat . What does that make me?😊

Good morning all,
Another grey, cold day here but at least it's dry.

Nothing very exciting happening today, I'm going to sort out my books and try to part with them.
I love books and have many from my teaching days which are just gathering dust now, so maybe they need a new home. Trouble is I'll start looking through them again and convince myself I still need them. I will try to be ruthless though.😏
Have a good Tuesday. TTFN
