Just stumbled into the Cold Dark Room… it’s oddly cozy in here 😄 I wasn’t sure if newcomers are supposed to bring cheese, coffee, or just confusion — so I brought all three.

Hope there’s still room in the corner for another slightly bewildered reptile enthusiast.

Apparently I look suspicious, since I got stopped by the police while walking to campus today.

So basically, a police car approached me very slowly and I was wondering what was going on. A little after they had passed me, they made a U turn and started driving towards me. They stopped me and rolled down their window, and I was just thinking well, this is a first! They asked for my name and when I answered, they told me that I wasn't the one they were looking for! Well, now I wonder who they were looking for 🤔

Another police car clearly on the look out passed me later, but thankfully didn't stop me again...
If I haven't committed a crime or a civil infraction. If a cop asks for my name, he isn't getting it. I don't have to give it to him. Have had some interesting encounters with law enforcement.

@Lyn is great at giving you a non-visual tour. Hopefully when she feels better.

Yes, it is! About twice each year I find a note under a windshield wiper saying "If you ever want to sell this..."

It has a granny gear that will have it climb a tree. The only bad part is it drinks gas like it was 55 years ago, so I kind of drive it minimally. And I have to fight with regular places when I tell them to put 80 lbs of air into the tires because they are actual truck tires, not 32lb car tires like a lot of people run. I did make a concession and go to a wider tire than it came with, though.

As much as Kerry and most people I know don't want to, Scot Toily paper is the cure for that. And the only one I know of that doesn't use corn 🌽 🌽 husks so 😭
It is BECAUSE of Scott's in her former life that we have the problem today. Let me break it down this way....the 12 flips of the hand done when using Scott's causes major issues when Cottonelle is used. The 12 flips is a learned behavior with Scott's....or your fingers go through....ewwee!

This is all totally incomprehensible to me in the UK - 12 flips of the hand - do you have to do a special dance when using the toilet perhaps ? Maybe I am better off not knowing !

I could make a joke about that 12 flips thing but suffice to say that anyone who has actually used Scotts, like poor people and prisoners.....know that you have to wrap it round your hand several layers deep because it's so flimsy. Be thankful if you are ignorant of this diabolical dud.

I heard of a guy that lost a job once for making bad jokes.

He used to ask his customers: Smoking or Nonsmoking?

Apparently the correct terms are

"Burial or Cremation"

And well she didn't know how to use that either. You have to turn it into a little powder puffy thingy 😁
