Merry Christmas Eve guys!
We have a few more things to wrap today and Kerry has to finish a hat for my son before we go see my son and one of 2 daughters this evening. Tomorrow morning we will drive to NY to see her family as i promised last year.
We made a Shutterfly book of pics we took to give to the lady we stayed with in Maine while on vacation a couple of months ago. She lives near Kerry's family at her other house during the winters so we will see her the day after Christmas.
Enjoy the day guys....and remember the season.

Homemade Mince Pies:
Hi everyone. It's been a while. What with visitors at short notice, helping my nephew with packing and shopping for a new bed ready for his move as well as Xmas shopping I haven't had time to spit. And when I have I've been nodding off.
Thankfully I managed to get all my Xmas pressies bought wrapped and delivered in time and I've even managed to make it to midnight mass at our little local church. It was very pleasant with a glass of prosecco at the end to welcome Xmas Day. (The vicar had just polished off what was left of the communion wine so i don't think he should have been mixing his drinks!!
Anyway I hope you are all well and I just wanted to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas. I haven't had chance to catch up on all your posts yet, but I will do once I've got Xmas lunch out of the way. (Unfortunately for me and especially my nephew I'm cooking again) ,

Evening/afternoon all
It's been a bright, cold and very windy Xmas day here but dry so quite pleasant.
I managed to cook lunch but it was a bit of a juggling act as I didn't have a hob this year. I had to make do with a combi microwave oven and an electric veg steamer. So it took a bit longer than usual and coordinating it all was a nightmare, but it was edible. My nephew doesn't make any declarations about it being nice etc but he cleared his plate so that makes it a success in my book.
He's coming back for lunch tomorrow too, but that will be much simpler.
My car has developed a new high pitched squealing noise which could be one of the belts or something more serious according to Google so I couldn't take him home - I thought his 30 stone in my little Festa may be the last straw. But luckily he had a lift with one of his neighbours who saw him walking. My news year resolution is to definitely look for a new car !
I hope everyone is having the Christmas Day you want and that Santa's been good to you.

Joe's getting leftovers from Thanksgiving. Turkey, rice and beans (leftovers too) and microwaved broccoli. If there was a store open I'd have bought TV dinners. In other words I ain't cooking today.

I was able to do a lil grocery shopping yesterday, and Picked up a 1/2 Gallon of EggNog...Yum, last time I was at the store they were all out, Ok, now Christmas is complete. I went to midnight mass, which was great for my reflecting . . on the last year. I'm grateful for all you wonder folks I talk to here. I appreciate you all, and love hearing stories of your lives. It's a quiet day, just me and the kids, catching up on some recorded shows.
The new year is right around the corner, so Don't blink....

Sapphire got his Christmas present today. He's not freaking out and attacking it yet so I know he's thinking about it

Lola has been very strange today. He half come out about 4 pm then turned around and went back in. He finally came out to eat about 7. He could probably feel the drop in temps or maybe it was the strange smell of cooking which isn't regular occurrence in my kitchen.Sapphire got his Christmas present today.
