He's 46 and 30 stone, Jeff so plenty grown up! 😄
You are much much too kind to your nephew - I hope that one day he realises how little he deserves you !
You mentioned again recently about getting another car - Richard was commenting today on how wonderful our Skoda Fabia is - we have had it for a very long time, and it has never failed to start first time, even when it is very cold, like today -or let us down at all. It doesn't like reversing up very steep slopes, but then what car does !

That warm weather is sliding by here tomorrow morning Ms Cathie. We will be taking advantage before temps plunge in the afternoon! Yikes

Today was a lazy day....laundry, put away the coolers, posted some cool deer videos(https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCzT5xGfyDU9MiLA4jao91QA) , did a little lawn leveling near the porch to receive the hot tub I finally ordered. Yup, I finally did it after finding a way to get it tax(screw Md) & shipping free.
I'm trying to manage my expectations though as we already know that industry is one of the worst I've seen so it's taken 2 months to wrap my head around this. There's an adage in construction; "go to bed with hookers, wake up with a std" and it refers to doing business with a firm that you know is unethical. When you get screwed by them, you only have yourself to blame....so I'm owning it here and now if this goes south guys! LOL It's funny because I expressly forbade anyone working for me to take on those clients. We simply never worked for Scumballs and I never had too much trouble letting someone know they were one if they pressed us. I never got pushback from those who employed me either, they all knew it was non negotiable for me. Now that it's my risk.....well, we will see won't we? LOL

See, I have been down this road before....remember that bed we got this year for a small fortune that I hate? I know all about having to manage my expectations! LOL

I'm going out to the garage to burn 1 then go watch a little football....Chicago kicking SF's bum yet??
Aw, so sorry Jeff, at least it was a good game from what little bit I saw. And rooting for the Bears? Whats up with that? Hoping for better standing for the Eagles?

Given the chance I have learned to micro manage situ like that, (at least to the best of my ability) so there are few surprises. Every one hates seeing one thing and getting another....

So he is just an azzhole? LOL I'm teasing of course....everyone is different I suppose but like many here I am of the "please and thankyou" generations. Today maybe they are not so much?

In full disclosure I too have a 40 year old daughter who I am feeling shame for because she did not thank Kerry for the hand made hat she made nor the gifts to her children that were also sent over with my other kids because we were not invited to be with them on Christmas. See, we have them here too! Free will....it's a thing to be cherished until others exercise it and it doesn't agree with our wants. We try not to dwell in the bad place very long though or the sucking muck will envelop your feet and it gets harder to walk away from the dragons! That's a public service announcement, right?

Ray, what about a dedicated corner that you could have lowered a schmad so a 4" pan or shallow tub could be countersunk and a hose could be hung nearby so you could fill it? If it's far from the house, maybe in the back corner near the cactus plants so they will be cleaned off by the time they walk back to the house. Or do you need two setups?
Amen to that, life is too short for drama, or inconsiderate folks or family

They were great games though, both the chi/SF last night and the philly/buffalo game earlier. I have no team loyalty so it's all about who I like at the moment but there are a couple of "nevers" . i never root for Philly or Dallas....their entire bloodlines should be stricken from the earth...or is that a bit too far? LOL

So after cleaning the freezer I found some old meat. A 4oz piece of chicken and 2 6oz Ostrich steaks. Yes I got them years ago with a Wild Fork order and forgot about them. I put them out for whoever and setup the cam. Rocky raccoon was seen with the chicken in his mouth and later came back for more. The fox came by snoofering but i think all the good stuff was gone by then. All neat...

I had ostrich for my meal on a flight to South Africa many moons ago. It was very nice. I'm glad they didn't give me a leg though! 😀

Well, I'm not a big sports person, although I try to keep up for public conversations sake. Here in the SF Bay area, we have had a few defectors, some good, some bad. I was Not crying any tears when the Oakland Traitors (Raiders) Moved to Las Vegas. I never liked them, they were bruisers (Brute force) who could not reason the game out (excellent coaching)and the Oakland Athletics was a can of worms. They got screwed by Al Davis. He made the Oakland colleseum turn int o a football field as opposed to a multi use field. My Mom, god bless her heart was an avid A's fan, she had a lil transistor radio and listen to the games, so when THEY left for Las Vegas, it was don't let the door hit you on the a** on the way out. We now have the Oalkand Ballers, up and comers, true Home town Team. But as I said, I don't follow to closely....and the 9'ers moving to Santa Clara, don't get me started....

Where did you go in South Africa Lyn? My first wife lived in Johannesburg for 5 years as a teen. Well traveled you are! We had a member here that built a home in the bush. A nice place i remember.

Dang MG, I think that you display better than just a working knowledge of pro sports in that area. Al Davis....what a guy...lol. Outsized personality and ego to match. Typical and pointless to me.

Temps are falling now! We got her car so clean and we got it done early.

I stayed near Joburg at a place called Boksburg. I went across for a few weeks to spend Xmas '89 with a boyfriend. He had gone out there for a few months with his friend whose parents lived there. We visited Pretoria and Bloomfontein. Sun City and a few other places. I was hoping to go to the Kruger National Park but needed more time. The boyfriend and I parted company about a year later but the trip was a wonderful experience.

I'm hoping to manage a full night's sleep tonight. For about the last week I've been waking after a few hours and then can't get back to sleep. So I've had a small brandy in the hope it will help me stay asleep longer.
I'm off to bed now so nos da and take care.

I used to hear all the stories of Swaziland and the warriors. Her parents did the Dog Show thing with their English Setters and 1 was the SA champion for a couple years.

So i mentioned that i finally ordered my hot tub Sunday . i got a text today, it will be delivered tomorrow! It's going to be 30F out tomorrow...yuck. I told the trucking company to send the big guys so i can pay them extra to set it on our raised deck! LOL

I have been away from sports the last few yrs. This Christmas 2 of my grandsons wanted a Justin Jefferson rookie card a Kerry Carpenter rookie card. In the 80's I was into trading cards. It is a whole different world now. Anyways I found both cards that were rated 10. Then 2 of my other son's wanted Pokémon cards.Do you know the most expensive Pokémon card goes for 5 million dollars. I was entering in to a world I have no idea. So I bought the first item I saw. Which was a 25card mystery pack. I bought 4 packs and crawled my way out of the Pokémon realm.

I happened to come across 2 different sulcata sites on FB. The care information being given on the sites are unbelievable. I gave a few suggestions and told myself to leave FB. I would go crazy trying to help those people.
