Yes, My Seymour has already awakened and started roaming the house. I need to get him out in the patio w/some food, to fuel up for his excursion for the day in the yard...She has been exercising in the garden today...
Our spring has been very wet with high winds and quite cold so apparently a lot of baby birds have been lost.Around here it got colder so Sapphire hasn't been able to go outside. Some days it's been in the 50's and 60's f. And overnight can drop to freezing. Yesterday I saw my first hummingbird. They said on the news that they were spotted in Ohio so I've had mine up for about a week. That's early so I had to Google what temperature they can survive because of the weather. They'll probably be safe from to long of torpor because they can withstand a little bit of freezing. And the days are getting warmer.
Sadly vets here seem to want to squeeze as much money as they can out of pet owners. There is going to be some sort of investigation into the prices they charge but I haven't heard if that's started yet.Good morning friends, well, since my ole buddy Woodie has past, Next in line is Drake.
Drake was Penny's Senior dog, He a Min Pin. I made an appt. with the Dr. the other day, and took him to his appointment yesterday afternoon. Poor dude needs nearly all his teeth pulled, has problems with his knees, is getting cataracts, & the Dr. is concerned that his pupils did not retract when shone light. Oh, no...and just the slightest heart murmur, fortunately Nothing as bad as Woodies. She recommended a Senior Blood Panel and CardioPet Blood test also. She prescribed him some Joint Support drug/ supplements. I asked about getting a script to buy them on-line - - - oh, you can't do that, Hum . . okayyyyy. While waiting for Drakes blood draws, I went on -line, and Yes, it is available. Had them fill the prescription, but will not be getting refills it at the Vet, will buy it on-line for 60% of the price. She is a good vet, and have followed her through 3 different offices, but it kinda irked me that she shot me down when I asked about getting them on-line. She also throws shade on On-line pharmacy's like Chewey . . . . "Oh, you have no idea where they get their drugs". any way, I got his meds. $745. (£550) later were walking out the door.
@Lyn W I want to make sure you see these.Bats in Malaysia
@Lyn WThe islet in the background of the top video is Snake Island if anyone fancies seeing a Krait Snake
Yes I did thanks Natrah. Bats often fly over my garden - it's fascinating watching them.@Lyn W I want to make sure you see these.
So nice to see you back, @Lyn W , we've missed your part of the conversations, Glad to hear Lola is doing OK . . .Hello fellow CDRers, long time no not see. I hope you are all well.
I have been techless for a while.
My phone stopped charging so I've just been using my old basic phone for a while until I could decide on a new one.
I've also had visitors, been away for a couple of days, been quite busy with the house and helping my nephew - time has flown by and I've a lot of your posts to catch up on.
Lola is well, and as today has been the warmest and sunniest for a long while, he's enjoyed lots of time outdoors. The nest week is set to be up to 85F so he should have plenty more natural UVB, that will be too hot for me so I'll be staying in and have my fans ready to keep me cool.
Anyway I'll make a start on catching up with everyone and I'll be back. TTFN.

I finally decided to look up hedgehogs. I've always associated them with our groundhogs! Turns out I was right in a way.Our spring has been very wet with high winds and quite cold so apparently a lot of baby birds have been lost.. I hope the second clutches do better. I also haven't seen my hedgehogs since 5th May do I'm hoping they just stayed in as nest for the bad weather and are ok.
