SLOW, dreary but 60+F warm day here. Kerry got a 90min delay due to fog. I did a lot of moving heavy things and unpacking "fluids" yesterday and began stocking the shelves till 8pm. I was pretty beat and am sore this morning.

I'm going to unpack and load my toolbox today.....not sure yet where the "extras" are going but I'll figure it out.

It's warm out so I will probably bike to the water.....between the rain showers.

I love the little flower......and it was COLD where you live Ms Cathie!

Enjoy the day guys
Yes dandelions are survivors 😁 no wonder tortoises love them 😊🐢

Sign that spring is on the way!
My camelia shrub has been flowering for a few weeks; some of the flowers were affected by the frosts we had and some have been lost in the high winds but it's covered in buds so plenty more to come.

Yikes…..it was 7F on early Monday morning & today it is 70F (21C). Crazy temps. Garden is soggy soggy soggy. Tons of rain coupled with all the melted snow.

Happy weekend to all. Enjoy!
That's a huge temp difference. Our temps are all over the place too but not by that much. Hope the rain and snow don't cause floods in your area.

Happy weekend to you too, Mark.

Good afternoon/evening all,
Storm Jocelyn passed causing mayhem in some parts and we had rain and quite high winds again yesterday, but today has been beautiful - cold and sunny. So Alfie and I met up with Tilly, my sister and b - in -law for a forest walk. It was lovely and we had a very nice lunch at a visitors centre too.
My other sister and her family are back in the UK now en route home from Heathrow airport to Cardiff. They had a 6 hour delay at LAX so they are much later than expected and all exhausted after a very busy time in Ca. So this is Alfie's last night with me. My sister will collect him tomorrow to take him back to their part of the country. I will miss him, we've had some lovely walks and he loves cwtching up (cuddling to anyone not Welsh).
I will see him next weekend though because it's the start of the Six Nations Rugby tournament and we have tickets for Wales v Scotland so that will be a good day out in Cardiff.
I hope you're all well and looking forward to the weekend. TTFN

Sapphire already told me that because he's coming out and eating better.😊 winter is getting shorter and shorter. I got him in May and there was snow on the ground now I'm lucky if I have a white Christmas.or any snow at all.

Lola is slightly more active on warmer days but still likes room service when temps drop again.
We sometimes don't get snow until March now so you never can tell when winter's done with us but it would be unusual to have snow here in May. Although when I was in university in Birmingham it did snow on my mum's birthday in June! It didn't stick though and the first time I climbed Mount Snowdon in North Wales was in a May back in the 80s and while it was a sunny spring day in the valley, we were knee deep in snow on the top - luckily we were dressed for it!

Good afternoon evening all,
Alfie has gone home so it's very quiet here tonight. He looked a bit baffled when he was put in my b-in-law's car instead of jumping into mine but he was pleased to see them and as long as he's fed, played with and has tummy tickles he's quite happy anywhere.
So it's just me and Lola again and he's far less demanding!
I hope you all had a good Saturday it's been quite a nice day here again and I hope the weather is being kind to you too.

We haven't had our usual freezing weather with snow and ice in December and January February for many years. Then the cold and some snow into May. I do want to share a picture though. This is one of the little darlings I get to pick from. My brother's poodle had her puppies Thursday IMG_20240127_115715393.jpg

Beautiful! I suppose you'll have to be patient for a few months yet before s/he can leave mum but well worth the wait, 🥰

Good morning/afternoon all,
Quite a pleasant day here today.
It was strange not having to rush this morning to let any dogs out into the garden, and not have to worry about them when I went shopping. I loved having them here and all the walks we went on but it's also nice to hand them back.
I hope you're all having a peaceful Sunday.
