Kerry got the day off yesterday so we hopped in my Expedition and drove to my house. I put it in 4lo for a few minutes to play on the street here before we left but it was fine in regular 4wd. I've driven these through 18-20" of new snow without issue...they are beasts with a 6spd & 4lo, hi & 4A. The new ones don't have 4lo anymore....it's the Mighty Mike gear! Remember that toy?

At the house I removed the 100' of 8AWG wire from my circuit box to the garage & the 40amp breaker for the welder and large compressor that I already moved. That's about 500 bucks worth of wire...."No" I told Kerry, it will not convey when I sell! LOL
I will remove the Generator wiring/transfer switch as well on the next trip. We also got all the "fluids" from the garage. I told Kerry I wanted the floor jack. She said she got it so we left.....she loaded the old broken one...that was sitting next to the SHINY NEW RED ONE!! I laughed so hard..... they each weigh 75 pounds and she got the wrong one!

Kerry had loaded the fluids into big black bins then loaded them in the truck with I was in the attic. When I unloaded last night I found I have 23 quarts of 5-30 Valvoline oil in 5 qt containers, brand new among a ton of other stuff.....and I don't even own a car that uses it anymore. See what I mean, I got a lot of stuff!

Do you eat cheese with that?

You know, with the whining? LOL

I used Kerrys account to post, there are 3 so far....from yesterday I think. I think that once you get there, you can see all three

We are not getting married till March 2nd so you haven't missed anything.....and I'm usually pretty good about keeping promises, and making other do the same. I once made a "deal" with a guy on Craigslist.....he needed a permitable Plumbing drawing for a bathroom in his home, and I needed a granite countertop for my vanity.

I hounded him for 8 months....but the countertop is beautiful!!! LOL

Here is a Hawk who took a squirrel I used to shoot at with my slingshot(never got closer than 6")....he was so worried about me, he forgot to look up!

I took pics of the deer walking thru the yard but they are still on the camera.

I was outside the garage last night in the snow in the back yard burning one and I heard something approaching...step by step, inch by inch it came......I couldn't see a thing having been in the lit garage....

As it got closer, I leaned in the door and flipped on the light, my heart racing.....the big Doe looked at me, not 20 feet away.....was completely at ease as we chatted and she browsed...well, I chatted, she ate....then she just walked off......how cool is that?
Absolutely stunning!

Good afternoon/evening all,
Our weather has now changed and is slightly warmer, but that brings rain and high winds with it. It is still pretty quiet here at the moment but we are about to be hit by Storm Isha so amber warnings have been issued for rain and winds of over 50mph - I preferred the frost and ice because I could get out for some good walks with the dogs.
Tilly went home on Wednesday when my sister and b-in-l returned from LV, so it's just me and Alfie now. He'll be with me until next weekend when my other sister & co return from Ca. They've had a great time in San Francisco and spent a couple of days in a cabin at Yosemite National Park, I'm looking forward to seeing their photos - I've only seen one of the snow.
I hope you're all staying warm. US temps have been much lower than we've had in S Wales.
I'm just taking Alfie out for his before bed walk so TTFN.

All in fun guys......
Yesterday, superman rested. I didn't even come out of my blue flannel PJs!

Pulling that cable on Friday worked me over pretty well so yesterday, we watched old movies and Kerry made some Lentil soup.

At one point I warmed the garage but I never started puttering out there.

This morning we'll go grocery shopping and we'll move the freezer in the garage to a different wall after I get shelves on that wall.

We did send out evites for our wedding! In 6 weeks I get to marry Wonder woman....while poor Kerry will marry an old man, who acts like a young man!
LOL

My Cardinals and Sparrows finally came back today. I was worried about them and all the visitors I usually have here. It was so unusual to not have birds here. I was afraid the cold was just too cold for them for the first time in the years I've lived here.

Tomorrow I have to drive Joe to his eye specialist for the lazor treatment in his other eye. Thank God it'll be a bit warmer. I'm not used to my new old vehicle yet. I've only driven it twice so far. It's big I'm small🙃

We are being battered by Storm Isha at the moment with travel chaos and power cuts.

Natrah
The wind is really scary! I've never heard it as bad as this. We just had some massive gusts that I thought might take the roof off! There's things blowing about in the garden but I don't dare go out. I also have water coming through the ceiling in my single storey extension. I've put buckets out but can't do anything more yet. I've disabled the power for lights just to be on the safe side. I won't be going to bed for a while tonight that's for sure! Stay safe Natrah!

Drive safely especially if there's ice about.
There probably won't be ice but it's a big van. I'm not used to it yet because I haven't been able to drive it due to the freezing weather. I finally started it up today and let it run for awhile. It started right up despite the deep freezer here for the past week. Yeah 👍 I'll get him to the eye doctor tomorrow.🤗as planned.

The wind seems to have calmed down a little - not roaring and crashing against the house as much as they were. Looks like they will stay above 30 mph but I think we they were about 60 mph earlier. So I'm going to try and get some sleep before I have to get up and access any damage. I really hate these strong winds. So I'll bid you Nos Da and see you tomorrow. Take care.
